Are you tired? worn out? or burned out?

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-30 MSG

Do you feel overwhelmed? Are you always tired? Does every day seem like an uneventful routine? Are you tired of hearing about the good life but your reality seems far from it? I have good news for you, help has arrived!

Stop trying so hard, your works won't yield the desired results. Lean on grace, that's how to truly live. At times, if we are not careful we can get carried away with trying to do all the right things to get God to bless us. You don't have to pray or fast to get God to do something for you. Now they are both great and necessary, however they have their place. Prayer is for fellowship purposes and fasting is done in order to be sensitive enough to hear from God concerning a particular thing.

The bible tells us that God has given us ALL things (2 Peter 1:3). We gain access into these things as we learn to walk with him and learn from him. God didn't create us and dump us on Earth to figure things out on our own. We were created to dependent on him for everything.

Jesus Christ came to the Earth to give us grace (John 1:17). Grace is God's supernatural ability given to us to live the abundant life (John 10:10). You don't work for grace; it is a gift (Ephesians 2:8; Romans 11:6). In the above scripture, we have an invitation to come to Jesus and recover life! Accepting this invitation leads to rest...no more being tired, worn or burnt out. Grace is unforced, it is a flow (1 Corinthians 15:10).

Religion will tell you otherwise. It will tell you that you have to follow a set of rules to please God. Religion will tell you that you're a sinner and you'll never be right with God. Religion will tell you that it is normal to be poor or sick. But that's not God's Will for you; it is all lies.

All God wants is a relationship with you. All God needs is your faith (Hebrews 11:6). Put your hands in his today and allow him to lead you; with each step taken in and by grace. Stop trying so hard, Jesus did all for you on the
cross (Galatians 3:13-14).

Are you ready for the good life? Step out in faith today! Trust me you won't fall, Jesus is waiting for you with open arms.

Confession: Heavenly Father, today I make up my mind to walk and work with you by Grace. I rest in you in Jesus' name. Amen.

Prayer starter: Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace. Today I ask for strength and wisdom to live the life that Jesus came to give me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

You're blessed!

God's Grace, Our Responsibility

1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
The grace of God should make you responsible, not a lazy excuse maker.

It is a divine empowerment to be productive in every area of life, not an excuse to live carelessly. The grace of God is applicable for every area of your life. For example, just because you are a career woman doesn't give you the right to neglect your family at the expense of climbing up the ladder and making it to the top of your career field. God's grace is big and strong enough to empower you to be a wonderful wife, a marvelous mom, a success in your career and much mmore.

The same goes for a student, a student should be disciplined if he/she wants to be successful. He/she must attend all classes on time, be attentive, take out time to study, complete assignments, etc to excel. He/she shouldn't have a nonchalant attitude, thinking "I'll just wing it or say a little prayer before an exam, I won't bother studying". God's grace doesn't work like that, we are to labor or 'put in work' with the grace that we've been given (Colossians 1:29).

Don't limit God by stopping the flow of his grace in a particular area of your life, he is more than able and willing to empower you for all round success.

Can you be trusted with more grace? What are you doing with the grace you've been given thus far?

We ought to represent God with the grace that we've been given, always putting ourselves in Jesus' shoes and following the example he left for us while he lived on Earth. Jesus came endowed with grace and truth, he accomplished all that he did on Earth by this grace (John 1:17). God's grace is a gift, it is to be cherished and handled with care (Ephesians 2:8).

There is a question that has been asked over and over again, Can a person have it all? The answer is YES! That's why Jesus came(John 10:10). God desires that we enjoy the best of all things and function at our best in every area of our lives, that's why he sent Jesus.

Never settle for average or good enough, anyone can do that without trying. We need to know that our reference point is not of this world, we take out reference from above. The sky is not our limit, it is our starting point (Ephesians 2:6;John 3:31)

As I stated earlier, Jesus is the embodiment of grace and truth. He came to endow us with power from on high and reveal to us the truth about who he is in us and who we are in him (Colossians 1:27). We are unstoppable, unmovable, and unshakable with the grace of God working in us, for us, with us, and through us. Let it flow, take responsiblity for all that has been committed into your hands. Don't let your calling, gifts, talents, and skills go to waste. They were given for you to be a blessing to others, not to hoard them.

Don't waste God's grace!

Confession: Father in the name of Jesus, I declare that release myself for your grace to flow through every area of my life for your glory.

Prayer starter: In the name of the Lord Jesus, Father I come to you today and ask that you reveal any area of my life in which I have hoarded your grace. Amen

You're blessed!

Faith, Our Access

Romans 5:2(KJV)

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

In the previous devotional, we spoke about the grace of God. In this post, we'll discuss how to gain access into this grace.

According to the above scripture, faith is needed to access God's grace.

Faith says, "God I absolutely trust you with every part of my life without a shadow of doubt whatsoever. Even when opposing circumstances arise, I will still trust you."

Faith is not wishing or hoping God will do it while having a plan b, c, and d. Faith is absolute trust in God. It is a no doubt, fear, or worry zone.

For every believer, it was God's grace that saved us (Ephesians 2:5-8), it is a gift. However we had to play a role in receiving this gift, by releasing our faith. We had to believe that Jesus was rised from the dead and confess his lorship over our lives (Romans 10:8-10).

Faith is strictly based on the Word of God (Romans 10:17). As my pastor says, "Faith begins where the Will of God is known." The Word of God is his Will.

Simply put, you can't have faith for what you have not laid hold of in God's Word.

Nothing is impossible to the man or woman who has place their faith in God (Matthew 17:20), he/she pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). There is no way that one can please God with his/her faith in him and live an ordinary life. God will show up and show out for whoever puts his total trust in him.

When you trust God, his grace has you covered, like a limitless credit card you can swipe it anytime a need arises...you can only swipe a card when you believe (faith) that there are funds (grace) available.

Why don't you give it a try? Believe in God's grace. Release your faith for something that you desire today. Remember not to allow fear, worry, or doubt because it will void your transaction. Keep believing until there is a manifestation. If it's in his Word, you can see it in your world...just believe!

Confession: Father, in the name of Jesus I trust you. Your Word says there's nothing impossible for those that put there faith in you. Therefore I trust you to meet all my needs by your grace. Amen.

Prayer Starter: In the name of Jesus, I come to you today father and ask that you ---mention need--- according to your grace. My faith is in you, I won't be anxious. I believe, therefore I receive this very thing. Amen

You're blessed!

God's Grace

2 Corinthians 9:8 (KJV)
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

What is God's Grace?

In most cases, God's grace is simply defined as his unmerited favor. Which is true, however it's much more than that. It is God's divine empowerment given to man to live the God-kind of life. With God's grace, man is able to live the abundant life that Jesus came to give (John 10:10). A life where man is in total control, controlling circumstances and situations and not the other way around.

God's grace is the key to all your desires, it's the solution to all your issues, and it’s the answer to all your questions. God's grace is sufficient, it's all we have as believers and it's all we'll ever need.

God's grace covers every nook and cranny of your life: your finances, career, marriage, education, etc. His grace is available to make you that image of perfection that he has created you to be. God's grace is able to turn your wildest dreams into glorious realities. God's grace covers it all!

Like a blank check, all you have to do is fill in what you need it for; it's already signed with Jesus' blood so it can never bounce. His grace will never run out, it's forever abounding. In 2 Corinthians 9:8, the key words are 'all', 'abound', 'always', 'sufficiency', and 'every', these words describe the characteristics of God's grace. It’s all encompassing, it's endless, it's more than enough, and it applies to all circumstances.

Furthermore, God's grace is void of human effort (2 Corinthians 12:9), you don't have to work, struggle, or fight for it; as a child of God it's your personal property, a divine gift (Ephesians 2:8). Jesus paid the price for our access into this grace with his life (John 1:17). This grace is able to establish and perfect all that concerns you in life (1 Peter 5:10), just believe it!

Confession: Heavenly father, I thank you because your grace is sufficient for me. It abounds towards me in: my walk with you, relationships, calling, finances, marriage, etc, meeting all my needs in Jesus' name. I AM BLESSED!!!

Prayer Starter: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for your grace. In any area of my life where your grace has not yet manifested __________ (specify that area) I declare by faith right now that there is a performance of your Word concerning that area. Amen

You're Blessed!
