The Power of the Spoken WORD

Source: Google

I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.
Mark 11:23 NLT

Have you ever struggled with reading the bible? Maybe you begin to read and you get bored easily or you suddenly feel sleepy. I've been there, there was a point in my life when the bible did not make any sense to me; it was comparable to an old history book in my opinion. I didn't see what other people claimed to see and I couldn't understand how people got the Word of God to “work for them”. I concluded that I had no control over what occurred in my life and I just had to go with the flow; accepting everything that life threw my way.

This way of thinking was my permanent abode until life happened and I was left alone, confused and scared. In that moment, I ran to God and sought after him like never before. I would ask God to reveal himself to me; I wanted to know him for myself. There was 'something' within me telling me that there was more to life and I didn't have to settle. As I followed God's leading, the bible became alive to me. I saw Jesus in it, in turn I saw myself. I saw who I was created to be and what God had prepared for me. I was glued to the Word, from listening to sermons, to attending church services and programs severally times a week to setting out time to study the bible; I became an addict!

***

The Word of God is not effective if it is just in your head; it becomes effective once it enters into your heart. Merely skimming through pages in the bible, reading a verse here and there would leave you with information in your head. Meditation on God's Word is the way to get it into your heart. Meditation involves reading scriptures, in depth study of scriptures and confession of scriptures (speaking the Word out loud to yourself); this process continues until the Word sinks in, bypassing your mind and going into your spirit and igniting Faith in you (Joshua 1:8).

The quickest way to get anything into your heart is by speaking it. We must understand that our words contain power. Our inherit power is released through our words. The type of power that you release depends on the words that you choose to speak; you either releasing miracle working power or destructive power (Proverbs 18:21). You must speak the Word in faith to make it work for you.

Faith in God and his Word is the key to living the life that Jesus died to give. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by the hearing of the Word. You must hear the Word of God in order to believe and receive it. You hear the Word of God when you speak it back to yourself via meditation and when you listen to a sermon being taught or preached by an anointed minister of God.

Colossians 3:16, tells us to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly. When this scripture speaks about the 'word of Christ', it is referring to the Greek word 'logos' which is defined as the spoken word of God. God's Word is the container of his power (Hebrews 1:3); in order to release the power of God into any area of your life, you need to speak it. It is the Word that you decree that becomes established (Job 22:28); not the word you merely 'think' upon.

When you decree the Word of God, you are defining the portion of your inheritance in him; you are selecting the boundaries for what you will or will not allow in your life (Matthew 18:18).

You must get to the point where the Word of God overwhelms and overtakes you then begins to ooze out of you. This is a place where you only hear, see, speak and do what the Word of God says; there is no other option and there is no backup plan. The Word is God's gift to you; it is your access into all that God has prepared for us.  As you speak this Word to yourself, using it to address situations and circumstances; you unleash the power of God to make it good. So speak the Word over every area of your life today and awaiting the performance of that very Word!

You are blessed!

Shadows

Source: Google

Today as I drove to work and prayed in tongues at the same time, I caught a glimpse of my car's shadow on the ground. I've seen it several times before, therefore I was tempted to ignore it. But the holy spirit called my attention to some things.

I decided to look at the shadow once again and I noticed a few things. The first thing that I noticed was that the shadow of my car displayed a distorted image of my car. The shadow portrayed a car that was shaped completely different from the actual car. In the shadow, the roof of my car was elongated.

The second thing that I noticed within the shadow was that my car appeared to be crossing into the left lane, even though I was in the middle lane. After staring at the shadow for a few seconds, I started to actually believe that my car was crossing over into the left lane; until I looked up and saw that I was in the perfect (right) position in the middle lane.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 KJV
The Lord began to speak to my heart. He said "this is what happens to people who focus their attention on the shadows of the devil. They choose to focus their attention on circumstances and situations and/ or trials and tribulations. When this occurs, the devil magnifies these things and the appear bigger than they really are. The devil distorts circumstances and if you look at that distorted image long enough, you'll begin to believe that it is true."

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4 KJV
He went on to say, "I am in you and I am greater than anything that tries to come against you. When you focus on me and my Word, you will know the truth and you will be set free. When you look unto Jesus, your faith when be strengthened. Looking to shadows or the lies of the enemy will instill fear in you."

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psalms 91:1‭-‬2 KJV

I decided to search a few scriptures where the word shadow was mentioned and I saw 'shadow' defined as the word 'Tsale' in Hebrew, which is translated as shade or defence in English. It is the shadow of the Lord that offers shade or defence. The shadow of the devil offers lies- False Evidence Appearing Real (FEAR).

Stop looking at those false shadows, they are not real!!! The shadow of God provides shade, shelter, comfort and defence. When you focus on God and hold on to his Word, you will have peace and rest, irrespective of the circumstances that surround you. The shadow of God is his glory. The glory of God is a covering (protection) and defence.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV
We reinforce our position within the glory of God by focusing our attention on God and his Word. Make the Word of God your reality. Believe it, receive it, and confess it! All the devil can give you is a ton of lies, however God can never lie. It is absolutely impossible for God to lie. God will always do his part, you have to do your part by believing and acting on what you've believed. Your actions will always be in line with what you believe.

Watch the shadows that you pay attention to. Choose to focus on God and you'll see clearly. You will know the truth and you will live a glorious life!

You are blessed!

Protect your Heart

Source: Google

Your heart is the center of your being.
It is your powerhouse.
It should be handled with care.
The strength of it is determined by what you expose it to.

My son, pay attention to my words and be willing to learn; Open your ears to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, And healing and health to all their flesh. Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.
Proverbs 4:20-23 AMP

The above scripture tells us to keep God's Word at the center of our hearts. It farther says these Words are life, healing and health to one's flesh.

What you allow into your heart will affect your entire being. What you give attention to on a consistent basis enters your heart. If you give your attention to negative situations, circumstances, things or people, negativity will enter your heart. And negativity will hurt you and zap life out of you.
It is only the Word of God that gives life. It is highly important to watch one's thoughts. Be careful of the thoughts that you allow to enter your heart.

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].
Philippians 4:8 AMP
Here is a checklist:
  • Is it true?
  • Is it honorable?
  • Is it worthy of respect?
  • Is it right?
  • Is it confirmed by God's word?
  • Is it pure?
  • Is it wholesome?
  • Is it lovely?
  • Is it peaceful?
  • Is it admirable?
  • Is it of good repute?
  • Is it excellent?
  • Is it worthy of praise?
If the thought is outside of this context, than it is FALSE. Reject It! Your reality is what God says to you; either through his Word or through revelation. If you see something contrary to what the Word says around you, laugh it off! It is temporary, it is subject to change.

It is your responsibility to watch over your heart. You have the power to control what can and cannot enter into your heart. You have power over your feelings and emotions. There is saying that goes, “You are what you eat", so what are you eating? Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts (Jeremiah 15:16 KJV).What are you giving your attention to? What are you feeding on? The Word (the truth) or Lies?

The truth sets free (John 8:32), while lies imprison. Lies evoke fear (false evidence appearing real). Fear leads to torment (1 John 4:18) and clouds one's judgment.

Protect your heart from lies, live free of fear. Protect your heart with the greatest security system- the Word. Do all it takes to keep the Word in your heart. The Word gives peace, it gives liberty, and it gives rest.

Confession: In the name of Jesus, I give attention to the Word of God; I feed on the Word of God daily. I protect my heart by keeping the Word at its center. I refuse to allow negative thoughts, feelings, situations and people to get into my heart. I choose to focus on the Word of God. Amen

Prayer starter: Heavenly father, I come to you today and I pray for a strong desire for your Word. I pray for the wisdom and strength to protect my heart from anything that is not of you. In Jesus' name, Amen!

You're blessed!

Life Eternal

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3 KJV

The words 'eternal life' are often misunderstood. Some mistake it for living forever (that's just a part of it). Eternal life is a type of life. It is Zoe (A Greek word used in the new testament), which is life as God has it. It is the type and quality of life that God has. God cannot fail; neither can he be sick or poor. God rules over all, he is in control and he is in charge. These are some of the characteristics of eternal life. And to the glory of God, you can have that life also! Because Jesus paid a precious price for it, he gave his life for you.

Furthermore, Eternal life is to know God the father as the only true God and to know the Lord Jesus who he sent as our redeemer. It is a life given to us by God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

This life is resident in Jesus Christ and this life is the light of men (John1:4-5). We can only shine as we should (the light of the world) by accepting and living out this life.

This life is supernatural; it is far above natural existence. It takes its reference from above (John 3:31). The key to flourishing in this life, is have a revelation of Jesus (Philippians 3:10). We live to glorify God. As the light of the world, our duty is to attract others to Christ by shinning in him. We do this by the knowledge of his light (Psalm 36:9).

What is this light? It is the substance that created the heavens and the earth.
This light is the essence of our existence. It is our education for Godly-abundant living. This light is real, it's alive, and it is a mighty force. This light existed before the world began. This light is the Word of God. This light is a person. This light is our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

As we learn to walk and fellowship with this light, we prosper in every area of our lives. As believers, we have a treasure that abides in us. This treasure is the precious Holy Spirit; whose job is to reveal Jesus to us (2 Corinthians 4:6-7).

Your life at this moment is a reflection of what has been happening in you. We were created to live from the inside out; not the other way around. We were created as children of the kingdom of light to rule and reign. We were created to be in charge! Don't allow circumstances and situations to room you; that's not eternal life. The supernatural life controls the natural life. Refuse to be an ordinary human, lay hold on eternal life (1Timothy 6:12) and become a super-extraordinary individual!

As we fellowship with the Word of God, the light of God is rooted within us. The more we fellowship with it, the brighter the light will become. The brighter the light, the more abundance of life you enjoy.

You're blessed!

The Spiritual Gymnasium

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22 KJV

Getting the Word of God into your spirit is a full body exercise. The above scripture tells us to attend or give attention to the Word, doing so involves the corporation one's mind. It also says to incline our ears to the Word, which involves listening to the Word. It tells us not to let it depart from our eyes, which involves reading and studying the Word of God. Lastly it tells us to keep the Word in the midst of our heart, becoming one with it - making it our constant mediation; this how to get it into your spirit, where it counts!

1 Timothy 4:8 GNT says, “Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for the future.” This scripture tells us that physical exercise has some value but spiritual exercise is much more valuable. Yes, taking care of your bodies is significant, but exercising or training your spirit man is more beneficial. Physical exercise is limited to physical benefits; however spiritual exercise has spiritual, emotional, physical, emotional, financial, and material benefits etc; the benefits are unlimited and inexhaustible (Hebrews 4:12; Psalm 107:20).

Our spirit man is the real you! Man is three parts: spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23; Matthew 10:28; James 2:26). Your spirit (some times referred to as the heart) is the essence of life (without it there is no life), your soul consists of your will, emotions and intellect, while your body houses the spirit.

Everywhere we turn now and days, especially at the start of a new year we see people rushing to the gym aiming to join the #fitfam movement. I am all about good health and fitness, it's great and necessary! But we should not do it at the expensive of our spirit man (Mark 8:36). Some people spend more time in the gym than they do in the Word of God; that is why their out of shape. Some areas of their lives are flourishing while others are dead; one minute their on fire for the Lord, the next minute their wallowing in sin. These people are sensual, they are ruled by their emotions. Don't be like them! Don't join that movement!

Your spirit needs to be built up, it needs to be strengthened and endued with power daily. The state of your spirit controls your life (Proverbs 4:23). You are in this world but you are not of it, you are from above (John17:16; John 3:31). In order for you to live the life that originates above, you must get acquainted with it and discover how it works. The primary way in which you do so is via mediation on the Word of God (Romans 12:2). The Word of God will always point you to the father (Matthew 11:27), it reveals the king of kings and the elements of the kingdom. You're a king (Revelation 1:6; 5:10), you will rule and reign by revelation you recieved from the Word of God.

Whenever God wants to do something in the life of his children, he will send his Word (Isaiah 55:11 NLT). His Word will accomplish that very thing that he sends it to do; it will deliver on his promise. However it is the job of the recipient to open the doors of their hearts to that Word and receive it with thanksgiving. Believing that the Word that they have received is true and is their present reality, disregarding anything that seems to be opposing that Word.

The Word of God is a seed (Luke 8:11), in most cases it may not seem like what we desire or need. But it contains God's power, it is full of life and it transforms whatever it comes in contact with (John 6:63). Never despise your seed; never despise the Word of God. The Word of God has the power to mold you and change your level. The Word is a gift that keeps giving, it can never exhausted; it will meet your needs and you can always plant it when similar needs arise(2 Corinthians 9:10).

Why settle for a loaf of bread when you can have a bakery? Many people are too busy praying to God for loaves of breads when he's willing to give much more. You were created to rule, reign, have dominion, walk in authority, be prosperous in every area of your life, you were created for ownership! Stop acting like a beggar! You are a son of the most high God, sons have access into inheritances. Stop having a servant mindset. Renew your mind to this the truth, give attention to Word, meditate on it day and night; success is guaranteed!

So get into the spiritual gymnasium and stay there! As you get stronger add more weight, keep building yourself up and you'll soar in no time!

Confession: Heavenly father, thank you for the gift of your Word. Today I make a commitment to give more attention to your Word, in Jesus' name. Amen

Prayer starter: Heavenly father, today I asked for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you and that my eyes of understanding will be enlightened as I take out time to study your Word today, in Jesus' name. Amen

You're blessed!

Take It Personal

“For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).”
2 Peter 1:3 AMP

Many people are not living out the life of their dreams because they have not discovered the key. Proverbs 4:20-22, tells us to pay attention to God's Word because it is life to those that find it. The Word of God is the essence of all things, it has the power to produce what it says but you have to find it. The opening scripture tells us that we gain access to all the things that God has provided through a full or well-rounded and personal knowledge of God. The message translation says it like this, “Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God." 2 Peter 1:3-4 MSG. The Lord Jesus is the living Word of God, he came to earth to reveal God the father to us (John 1:14).

In order for the Word to be made good in your life, you have to take it personal (Matthew 4:4). There is life in the Word, abundant life (John 10:10). The Word of God is the container of his power (Hebrews 1:3
Hebrews 4:12 NLT). It is real, it is tangible. It will produce results for you when you take it personal; living the life of your dreams is totally up to you. The Word of God becomes real to us when we have a personal revelation of it (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3). It's not enough to read or listen to other people's revelations, having an intimate relationship with God is a personal decision.

If you believe that God is who the Word says he is and that he sent Jesus Christ to do what the Word says he did; you'll take the Word personally. All your inheritances are in the Word, God willed the Word to us to reveal his perfect Will for our lives. But at times, we tend to be too busy to study the Word of God. A friend of mine posted this quote on Instagram a few hours ago: "If you don't have time to pray & read scriptures, you are busier than God ever intended you to be." Isn't that the truth? Your needs and desires are not irrelevant, yes you need to work, go to school, pay bills, eat, etc. But there's a more excellent way, there's an expressway, a short cut to success.

You don't have to play by natural rules or attempt to keep up with the Joneses, you don't have to be a jack or all trades but master of none. There is a path that God has paved specifically for you, as you seek his face and learn to walk with him he will reveal his perfect plan for your life. The good news is that this plan is good (Jeremiah 29:11), you are the star in this plan, you always win, this plan gives you the future that you hope for- full of joy, success, and all round prosperity. This doesn't mean that you won't have work to do (James 2:17), it would be graceful work- guaranteed success (1 Corinthians 15:10).

During a major trial that I faced a while ago, in the midst of my frustration I began to question God. What am I doing wrong? What am I missing? And the Lord spoke to my heart, he told me to give more attention to his Word. I didn't understand his response initially but I obeyed, I gave myself a personal target. I decided to study (not just read) the Word for a specific amount of time daily. At times, I'd reach my daily goal and at other times I wouldn't but I never gave up. I also decided to listen to messages (sermons) throughout the day while going about my daily business. I saw significant improvements in a short time, the Word works!
Join me, let's challenge ourselves, make it a New Year's "resolution", I guarantee that you will not remain the same! Start off with just a few minutes a day and increase the time in increments. If you can watch a TV show or surf the Internet for hours on end, you can do the same with studying God's Word. To keep myself in check, I'll watch a movie (I am very selective with the types of movies that I watch) for a specific amount of time and then listen to a message for about the same timeframe or more. Remember "You are what you eat", so take it personal!

Confession: In the name of the Lord Jesus, I give attention to God's Word. I believe it, recieve it and act on it! I take it as God's personal love letter to me!  Amen.

Prayer Starter: Father I make up my mind to spend more time in your Word. Today I ask for the strength to be diligent, in Jesus' name. Amen.

You're blessed!

Be Prepared for the Fight!

1 Timothy 6:12
It is not wise to go to a fight unprepared. Chances of winning that fight will be slimmed. When it comes to preparing for a fight, you must be armed with the right weapon. It is wise to study the opponents track record and discover his weak points. The fight of faith is a good one because it is a guaranteed win. However to win, you must be prepared. How do you prepare for a the fight of faith? It's simple! You prepare by bulking up on the Word of God. Scriptures say that faith comes by the hearing of the Word of God.

The devil is ever ready to challenge your revelation of the Word of God. It's the same strategy that he used in the garden of Eden, it is the same strategy that he uses till now. Prepare for the good fight by getting the Word of God into your spirit. Keep the Word before your eyes, store it in your heart, let it play continuously in your ears, let it continuously be on your lips, stand on it- refuse to be moved (Proverbs 4:20-23).

Gather scriptures about your family, business, career, marriage, academics, relationships, children, relationship with God, finances, etc.; meditate on them and store them for further use. If you wait until the battle line is drawn, it may be too late; or your lack of preparation may extend the duration of the battle.

So before the devil comes to challenge you again, be prepared...because he surely will come, he has nothing better to do (John 10:10). Select the choicest weapon- The Word of God and hold it up against him (Ephesians 6:10-18). Be firm, refuse to be shaken up and watch him scurry away in defeat! Are you ready to fight?

Confession: In the name of the Lord Jesus, I declare that I meditate on the Word of God day and night. I keep the Word in the midst of my heart, it dwells in me richly. I fight the good fight and I am victorious! Amen.

Prayer starter: Heavenly father, I come to you today; I ask that as I give attention to your Word, that you give me revelation knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Amen

You're blessed!

Look in the Mirror

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.”
James 1:22-25 NLT

There's a difference between knowing the Word of God in your head and truly knowing it (having a revelation of it). The key to success is: knowing the Word, letting it take residence in your heart and doing what it says (Joshua 1:8). If you know what the Word says and fail to act accordingly, you're wasting your time. The above scripture says that if you just listen to the Word without doing what it says, you're fooling yourself; other translations say you're deceiving yourself.

If further goes on to describe the essence of the foolery, comparing it to looking in the mirror and forgetting what you look like the next minute. The Word of God is filled with descriptions of our true nature. It contains the elements of our identity. The Word says we are blessed, therefore we are blessed! The Word says that we are the healed of the Lord, therefore we are healed! The Word says that we have power over sin, therefore we are righteous! However, you have a part to play.

When you look into the Word, it is your true identity...a reflection of who you really are (2 Corinthians 3:18). As you listen to the Word, meditate on the Word and act on the Word you are change into that very image. After all, if you are born again you were born of this same Word and the Spirit of God (1 Peter 1:23; John 3:5). When you fail to do what you know is right, you're denying your true identity...you are suffering from an identity crisis.

I had this issue a few years ago. I knew what was right but I found myself constantly doing what was wrong. I felt weak and incapable of living right. The devil would mock me and constantly tell me that I wasn't worthy, I wasn't good enough. He would tell me that there was no point in trying, that I would always fail.

I was willing to make the changes but my flesh was weak (Matthew 26:41). I later discovered that true change comes by the Word of God and through the strength of his Spirit. I learned that once I built up my spirit and meditated on the Word of God routinely, I would no longer struggle with sin. I learned that change involved action and not just mere wishing.

That was my key to victory! I let the Word of God redefine me, instead of believing what the society or world said I was. I understood that I was royalty and that I had authority. And that I was in charge of my life with the help of the Holy Spirit.

As I meditated on the Word and followed the leading of the Spirit, I was transformed (Romans 12:2). I became wiser, bolder, more confident and stronger. It worked like magic! However, once again I had a role to play. I had to make a conscious decision to be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer. At times I would do very well but, I'd fall again. After the fall, I'd dust myself off and try again. In no time, it was smooth sailing as I learned to lean on the Holy Spirit and soar on the wings of grace.

Refuse to be a fool! Refuse to suffer from identity crisis! BE A DOER OF THE WORD OF GOD!!!

Confession: In the name of the Lord Jesus, I declare that I am a doer of the Word of God! I consider the Word my reality and I act on it daily. Amen

Prayer starter: Heavenly father, I thank you for your Word. I pray for the grace to always choose to do your word and to resist the temptation to do otherwise. Amen

You're blessed!

The Truth Sets Free

Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.” (John 8:31-32 MSG)
In order to have God-like experiences or results, you have to live out the Word of God. The Word of God is our manual for life, It is not a story or history book. If we keep at it and allow it to dwell in us richly, we'll experience heaven on earth (Colossians 3:16). The Word is the answer to all of life's questions and the solution to all of life's problems. Joshua 1:8, tells us that we make our way prosperous and become good successes as we meditate on the Word. Your actions are a result of your meditations.

As my mentor says, "Prosperity is in the doing of the Word". You can not expect to prosper financially if you fail to follow God's instructions for financial prosperity. Luke 6:38, says to give and it'll be given unto us. Naturally it may not make sense to give when you don't have enough for yourself, but it's the kingdom way to increase. When you give to God in the midst of not enough, he will surprise you with more than enough. We have an account with God in heaven, you can't make any withdrawals from it without making any deposits first (Philippians 4:17). When you give to God, you prove to him that you trust him and that he's your source.

Be a disciple of Christ Jesus, don't be an impersonator. Disciples are real followers, they keep pace with their master. We are called to be disciples of the Lord, our daily agenda should be to trust and obey him in all things. You have to reach a point where you realize that you are nothing without God. All that you have, all that you've become and will ever be is by God. Like Jesus said, I can of myself do nothing (John 5:30). It took me a while to see this. I always felt that I had some part to play in my accomplishments, until I realized that before I received Christ Jesus as my Lord and savior I was a failure in every area of my life. I couldn't get anything right: my relationships were horrible, academically I was just average, emotionally I was a wreck, etc.

Many people see the bible as a set of rules and regulations that are meant to bind them or prevent them from enjoying life. However that is far from the truth, in reality it is the key to a life of grace and glory, a life of abundance. The Word of God that is understood and acted upon is the key to freedom. Because it is the truth! Take the Word of God as your reality, he's a good God. It is his Will for you to enjoy the absolute best, we were not created to suffer.

Take the Word of God at face value, stop looking around. Focus on it! The more you look to the Word, the more you'll begin to look like it. God loves you with an everlasting love, he didn't give us the bible to study it as a punishment but it was given so that we wouldn't fall for the lies of the devil. It is the truth that you know that sets you free. Your life depends on the Word, don't take it for granted (Matthew 4:4).

Confession: In the name of the Lord Jesus, I declare that the Word of God is my life. As a disciple of Christ Jesus, I study it and live it out daily and experience true freedom. Amen!

Prayer Starter: Heavenly father, thank you for your Word. From hence forth, I do not take it for granted. I receive grace to study it daily and live it out totally in Jesus' name. Amen!

You're blessed!
